WORKPLACE WELLNESS

I offer anti-oppression group work on site for corporations and organizations. I have programs ready to go which can be scaled to meet the needs of your organization, and I am also happy to tailor something to your needs. Get in touch to discuss options.

ART PLAY

Art Play is like a decolonized version of art school. It is an invitation into understanding that we are all naturally creative. While it does teach techniques, it’s not only about making finished pieces. Rather, it is about how to be with your creativity as a pathway to disrupt individual identity around perfectionism and “one right way”.

LIBERATION SPARK PRACTICE

LSP is for people who want to unlearn white womanhood and internalized oppression. It is not an invitation to more shame, but rather is an invitation through shame. In practice, LSP is a book club and group art therapy practice, with the financial redistribution element centered. 50% of all tuition will go to a Black led revolutionary group.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

This group has impacted my life and art practice in so many ways! I truly feel like my life has been so enriched! What a gift it’s been because at my age, I had all but given up trying to connect with like minded, creative people. When I spoke with you I remember feeling so genuinely respected and valued and felt you were really listening.

Before this group,  I was without regular collaboration and feedback and had no real art practice which, for someone like me, turns out to be so essential to my well being. My art was reawakened at a time when I really needed that because of my life circumstances

(kids gone etc).

I’ve learned to trust myself artistically, to not be afraid of self expression and to make art regularly and fearlessly.  Also, I’ve learned so many techniques and learned to use so many different mediums which I’ve really loved! I’ve felt valued, encouraged and accepted.  I found friendships with these wonderful, lovely women who share my interest in all things creative and I feel grateful beyond words for you, your vision, patience and instruction.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

Art Play nourished our community of students, faculty and staff in ways that brought joy and connection back into our lives during this difficult year. Thank you for creating this much-needed space for reflection and hope.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

This group did so much for me in the last 18 months.  It gave me life by pointing me towards art making and encouraged me to keep with it when I felt I had absolutely no talent for it (which it turned out I do). And it kept me sane this year with art making via Zoom during the pandemic, and introduced me to a wonderfully talented, supportive, funny and loving group of women in the studio, and in our Tuesday Zoom group that I am thrilled to call friends.

Briah is an incredible teacher, coach guide. This group is a blessing in so many ways.  Too many to recount here. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

FOR FRIENDS, FAMILY & SMALL GROUPS

Communal art-making sessions encourage creative play, connection and provide an opportunity to relax into a flow state.

Let's create a custom gathering for you to celebrate the big and small milestones, family reunions, and more.

GROUP & COMMUNITY WELLNESS

Art groups are designed to gently guide participants into the experience of working with curiosity and intuition through mindfulness and community art-making. Accessible, surprising, and magical art techniques will be offered to invite you into a positive experience of shared creativity.

A strengths-based approach helps participants feel supported, emphasizes building trust with themselves and is informed and substantiated by the stories they share at the communal art table.
